웹The Basingstoke Canal is an English canal, completed in 1794, built to connect Basingstoke with the River Thames at Weybridge via the Wey Navigation. From Basingstoke, the canal passes through or near Greywell, North Warnborough, Odiham, Dogmersfield, Fleet, Farnborough Airfield, Aldershot, Mytchett, Brookwood, Knaphill and Woking. Overview. Map. 웹This walk takes you through woodlands then follows the Basingstoke Canal past King John’s Castle (13th century) to North Warnborough. It comes back across Bartley Heath. The heath is a great place for wildlife including deer, and the resident New Forest ponies. There are also many species of flowers, butterflies and fungi.
