One of the wires is connected to chassis ground and the other is routed to the signal input of the tachometer. The switch for this tachometer is marked as .5:1, 1:1, 1.5:1 and 2:1. WebThis can be fixed by spreading the wire retaining clip on the plug to create a tighter connection between the wire harness plug and the sender. Ultimate speedometers are sometimes erratic if using an ECM speed signal. This can be fixed with a SN79 filter. This filter will only work with ECM signals to a speedometer using ultimate technology.
