Mammography is the initial imaging modality for a clinically suspicious mass. A palpable mass that is occult or incompletely imaged at mammography mandates targeted US. WebThere was a flame-shaped density within the retroareolar right breast consistent with mammographic gynecomastia. There was no evidence of gynecomastia in the left breast [ Figure 1 ]. Further evaluation with ultrasound was recommended for confirmation and to evaluate for any underlying mass .
