WebFöhrenwald was a large DP camp converted from slave labourer’s accommodation. It was opened in June 1945 and was situated south-west of Munich in the American zone of occupied Germany. It held approximately 4000 residents. Following the Harrison Report it became a Jewish-only DP camp on 3 October 1945.
