Webb7 mars 2024 · We see it on television when a child or woman goes missing, a wife is missing, the husband is a suspect, and a photo is shown. Chances are good; these missing people will be White, blonde, and blue-eyed. The victim’s proximity to Whiteness is what it takes to be on the news and written about on Medium. WebbPutting people in close proximity to white people isn't going to do anything to fix inequalities, subjugation, power imbalances, etc. It hopefully creates some more empathy and understanding, but I'm pretty sure that's it. A lot of communities of color are engaged in building community wealth and community political power.
